Welcome
Helensburgh Pier on the West Coast of Scotland dates from 1816 and has a long and fascinating history, playing a key role in the development of paddle steamers as a mode of transport on the Clyde and trips ‘doon the watter’.
Whilst pedestrian visitors are welcome, unfortunately the Pier has been closed to marine traffic since 2018. A team of local volunteers are working hard to reopen the Pier so we can provide modern accessible facilities for all marine users and welcome visitors like PS Waverley to Helensburgh once again.
Please note the Pier is currently
Closed to Marine Traffic.
Pedestrians are welcome
to visit and there is
step-free access to the Pier
from West Clyde Street.
